Dr. Michelle Dawson
Dr. Dawson is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She has been with Southeast Psychotherapy Associates since 2004. She received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in Psychology and went on to pursue her Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver. Dr. Dawson has a wide range of clinical experience that informs her work including residential facilities, inpatient hospitals, outpatient community mental health and university counseling centers. Dr. Dawson completed an externship in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy. She also has experience as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver designing and implementing a graduate course in grief and loss. The following are some of the issues that Dr. Dawson works with individuals on: Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Relationship Issues, Fertility and Postpartum Issues and Bipolar Disorder.
Dr. James (Jim) Gilliland
Dr. Gilliland received his doctorate in psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1992 and has been licensed as a psychologist since 1994. He has worked in the behavioral health field since 1978 in various settings. Since 1994 he has worked exclusively in outpatient therapy. Clients include children, adolescents and adults. He works with a wide variety of problems and issues and specializes in work with family and children, depression and anxiety, men's issues and couples therapy.
Dr. Joelle Kruml
Dr. Kruml is Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Colorado, and has been working in the mental health field since 2001. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver. Dr. Kruml graduated Cum Laude from Drake University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a concentration in Neuroscience. She has received specialized training in the areas of violence, trauma, public safety, neuropsychology, psychological assessment, and child/adolescent issues. Dr. Kruml gained this experience through working within corrections and at residential treatment facilities, as well as at Denver Health Medical Center, the Denver VA Medical Center, a private public safety consulting firm, and through international research in South Africa. She teaches a course on Stress Management and Trauma at Arapahoe Community College. Dr. Kruml works with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Trauma, PTSD, Couples and Family issues, and Adolescent and Childhood issues including Self-Mutilation, Bullying, and Social Phobia.
